About Us

Texas Lone Star Tea Company, Inc. located outside of Jourdanton, Atascosa County, Texas, was founded in the year 2000 by an entrepreneur named Annell Pivonka Valchar. Being reared on a farm in Jourdanton, Texas, she thought it was an ideal place to start her new found business.

People always ask; what inspired you to start a tea company and design unique packaging relating to Texas? "Well", she replies, "having my own company was a dream that I hoped one day would materialize." The idea came in a vision one morning at 3:00 AM. Since I am a native Texan, it was only natural to pay tribute to Texas legend and folklore. Designing unique packaging will keep the Texas spirit and history alive through our specialty teas.
